It’s been two years since our rector Mrs. Awootar, has been transferred from Royal College Curepipe to Gaëtan Raynal State College. She is trying her best to improve our school environment.

“As I always say, the performance of the students is not that bad but it is not what I expect from them.”

She thinks that the students we receive in Grade 7 are among the best of Mauritius.

​

“For me, if a girl comes to Gaëtan Raynal State College with 24 units, there is no reason why she will not get 6 units in Grade 11.                Therefore every student in Grade 11 must do their best to score 6 units as result.

​

What do you want to improve in the school?

“My priority is the academic plan; therefore I want the girls to use their potentials at 100%.”

She also wants to add a little change in the school’s environment.

“I want to embellish the school by planting some decorative and beautiful flowers. I also want to give the girls the best conditions in toilets.”
